Masters is a former producer for CNN. Beyond his work at CNN producing science features, we can find no evidence of any scientific training or experience. In many cases the job of "producer" requires no training in the subject matter1. Masters' expertise in making videos is evident in the slickly-done videos, but well-packaged crap is still crap2.

Biography

From 1984 to 1988, Marshall worked as a science and technology features producer for the Cable News Network (CNN) and the Texas Cable Network (TNN). In 1989, Marshall moved to San Francisco to pursue a career in Information technology as a freelance technical writer. Between 1991-1998 Masters operated a tour business that specialized in Russia.3. In 1999 Masters became convinced that "objects" appeared in video of the total solar eclipse as seen in Turkey4.

In 2000 Masters launched YOWUSA.com along with with Jacco van der Worp, Janice Manning and Steve Russell. One of their earliest findings in 2001 is that CO2 emissions play an aggravating role in global warming, and that the principal engine of global warming is the Sun5. This comes a mere 24 years after the first watershed publications on the issue6

YOWUSA.com

Launched in 2000, this is one of Marshall Masters' sites. The name is an acronym for "Your Own World USA". On it he hosts a large number of slickly produced videos in support of Planet X / Nibiru. Also available for sale are several books and CDs/DVDs7. Since the launch of YOWUSA Masters has also launched a fleet of subsidiary sites and related sites, including kolbrin.com, yourownworldbooks.com, planetxforecast.com, 2012planetx.com, and marshallmasters.com8.

Claims

Prior to 2003, YOWUSA was posting "evidence" apparently in support of Lieder's "Planet X" flyby in 20039. However, in January 2003 YOWUSA switched to 2012 as being "more likely"10.

The Kolbrin Bible

Published by Masters' own publishing company, Your Own World Books11, this is purported to be "a secular Egyptian-Celtic wisdom book that dates back approximately 3600 years."

One reviewer pointed out that; "Unfortunately, the Kolbrin Bible has no provenance beyond that claimed by its publishers12.
